By the way she had found her way into a tidy little room with a table in the window, and on it (as she hoped) a fan and two or tree pairs of tiny white kid-gloves: she took up the fan and a pair of gloves, and was just going to leave the room, when her eyes fell upon a little bottle that stood near the looking glass..."I know something interesting is sure to happen... whenenever I eat or drink anything: so I`ll just see what this litttle bottle does. I hope it`ll make me grow large again, for really I`m quite tired of being such a tiny little thing!"... It did so indeed, and much sooner than she had expected: before she had drunk half yhe bottle she found her head pressing against the ceiling, and had to stoop to save her neck from being broken...A essa altura, havia entrado num quartinho bem arrumado, com uma mesa à janela e, sobre ela (como esperara) um leque e dois ou três pares de minúsculas luvas brancas de pelica. Pegou o leque e um par de luvas e estava prestes a sair quando bateu o olho numa garrafinha pousada junto ao espelho... "Sei que alguma coisa interessante sempre acontece... cada vez que como ou tomo qualquer coisa: então vou só ver o que essa garrafa faz. Espero que me faça crescer de novo porque já estou realmente cansada de ser esta coisinha tão pequenininha"... Foi o que aconteceu, e bem mais depressa do que Alice esperara: antes de tomar metade da garrafa, sentiu a cabeça forçando o teto e teve de se abaixar para não quebrar o pescoço...
